Richard Vedder is the Ruth Kennedy Distinguished Professor of Economics at Ohio University. He also serves as director of the Center for College Affordability and Productivity. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Illinois. Among the more than half-dozen books he has authored is Going Broke by Degree: Why College Costs Too Much. He writes frequently for the Wall Street Journal, National Review, and Investor's Business Daily.
